Focus and Scope

Main objectives of Mykolas Romeris university scientific Journal "Health Policy and Management”:

  • encourage a scientific dialogue between the European and global researchers;
  • analyze the problems of health policy and management, reflecting national and international context and environment;
  • disseminate innovative research experience;
  • develop the research of interdisciplinary social and biomedical sciences and humanities.

Annual peer reviewed periodical Journal “Health Policy and Management" publishes articles in various fields such as social sciences (policy, management, law, economics, public administration, sociology, psychology, educology, social information etc.), biomedicine (public health, nursing, medicine etc.) and humanities (philology, history, philosophy etc.) together with the scientific articles in other fields of interdisciplinary research that analyze theoretical and practical problems of health policy and management, presents monographs and other reviews of scientific publications, announcements about conferences and seminars of health policy and management.

Peer Review Process

All articles are reviewed by at least two active scholars appointed by the board of editors; at least one of the reviewers should not be a member of the board of editors. The reviewers are appointed blindly.

Publication Frequency

All articles to Health Policy and Management are posted online immediately as they are ready for publication. All articles will be assigned a DOI number (Digital Object Identifier) whereby they become searchable and citeable without delay. Articles will also be collated into issues which are printed quarterly.

Health Policy and Management – Print ISSN 2029-3569; Online ISSN: 2029-9001 - is an Open Access Journal. Author(s), their employer(s), or their funder(s) retain copyright, but license ALT to publish their work under a Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0 International Public (CC BY-NC-ND) License.

Articles will be published online immediately after the final corrections of the master proof have been made, and in print grouped in an Issue. Articles are assigned a DOI number (Digital Object Identifier) for citation and other purposes.

Publication fee
Publishing in Health Policy and Management is free of charge. In other words, there are no article submission or article processing fees.
