Abstract
The main goal of the publication is to present the problems and tasks of environmental protection policy in the EU-countries. One of the most important aspect of this question is the coordination of this policy at the EU-level with the national and local level. It could be help in determining of its basic tasks and in increasising the effectiveness of the leading by particular countries policy in this scope. It should give the opportunity to improve the condition of the environmental as well as positive influence on the economic growth, especially in long-term perspective.
