Abstract

The paper deals with implementing multimedia project work as an innovative ESP (English for Specific Purposes) teaching and learning method in the Faculty of Public Security at Mykolas Romeris University. The purpose of this work is to evaluate the effectiveness of project work, to identify the difficulties encountered and to report the benefits from project work. The main research methods used are the analysis of scientific literature, participant observation, and graphical presentation. The study results show that multimediaoriented project work is an effective tool for the acquisition of ESP terminology and problemsolving skills. The paper formulates recommendations to improve students’ ability to execute project work
