ILLEGAL MIGRATION IN THE ASPECT OF NATIONAL SECURITY FROM THE BORDER GUARD PERSPECTIVE

Abstract
International migrations accompanied humankind from the past, therefore in the different periods of time this issue had a variable intensity. The analysis of current trends in migration leads to the conclusion that this issue will increase in the near future. It means that more people will decide to change their place of living, and every country will become a source or final destination of migration. Poland like other countries of the Schengen zone, face very important challenges and tasks, which result from the actual and forecasted migration situation in the world, Europe and the region. Current polarization of the development level between rich and poor countries, increased frustration and social unhappiness, retardation, poverty, natural environment degradation, dangerous epidemics, uncontrolled migrations, all of those disrupt the stability of national borders and nations safety.
The author conducts the analysis of threats to the national safety concerning illegal migration, indicating reasons, directions and tendencies of illegal migration issue increase in the aspect of Polish Border Guard.
