This Manual is intended for students studying
the tariff classification of goods.
The publication deals with the International
Convention on the Harmonised Commodity Description
and Coding System, introduces the Harmonised
Commodity Description and Coding Nomenclature,
Combined Nomenclature of the European Communities,
European Community Common Customs Tariff,
the EC integrated tariff system TARIC and national
system LITAR. The principles of goods’ classification,
general interpretation rules are also described
briefly therein. The index of some goods classified in
the Combined Nomenclature is provided at the end
of the book.
The Manual will also be very useful to customs
officers, officials of tax inspectorates, agents and businessmen,
i.e. to everybody who cooperate with the
customs authorities, who is involved in foreign trade,
or provides services to public and who is interested
in the above mentioned issues.
